PLANNING FOR THE PACK: Novel Labs’ Mutant Cartel Drops Company And Community Roadmaps Focused On Hounds And Otherside

While the market may be in hell, the Mutant Cartel continues to howl, releasing two ambitious roadmaps aimed at making 2026 an insane year for the pack.
On Friday, Novel Labs took to the timeline with an X article titled “Mutant Cartel World Roadmaps,” laying out separate five and six point roadmaps for both the community and the company.
“Two Roadmaps. One vision,” the project wrote. “One co-created with the community and Novel Productions through Serum DAO. One delivered by Novel Labs.”
For Novel Labs, the company is focused squarely on all things Otherside, starting with its new Terminus business, which helps NFT collections transform their JPEGs into Otherside avatars. The roadmap also includes Otherside avatars for Fused Hound holders, making its original Mutant Hounds rideable, and a new iteration of its popular Serum City game, but this time built on Otherside. On top of that, the team teased an upcoming partnership and a mysterious activation dubbed “The Mob.”
On the community side, Novel Labs is looking to double down on $Serum, help both new and longtime members secure their “forever Hounds,” and is also teasing a redacted “Oaths” renewal event.
As The Gazette previously reported, Novel Labs has been building out Mutant lore for years, expanding the ecosystem through games like Serum City, its recent DAO, and real world activations at ApeFest and beyond.
