The Otherside was bubbling this morning as Bored Apes, Voyagers, and more aped into the metaverse for the first ever Meet At The Clubhouse Space, live from inside a literal bubble, where it was announced that everyone is now invited to pop in whenever they want, as Yuga Labs tests persistence!

Otherside sure is beautiful in the morning.

On Friday, the community woke up bright and early to float with their frens, catch up on all things Ape and $Ape with Yuga Labs’ BaronVonHustle and IllaDaProducer, and strike an emote pose or two high above the metaverse as part of Yuga Labs’ Bubbles tech test.

The Space was a who’s who of speakers, from ApeCoin CEO Cameron Kates to Bathroom Blitz creator CryptoVonDoom. But the biggest news came from one of the metaverse’s lead architects, Yuga Labs Chief Product Officer Michael Figge, who announced that the Otherside would be open all weekend long as the company tests persistence.

“We are just going to leave it on,”  he said. “ that means whether its later today or tomorrow, a couple days from now, we are just leaving this exact set up on. So you guys can just come to the swamp and start up your own Bubble.”

Figge went on to explain that Twitter Space hosts can simulcast their Bubble shows to X, just like BAYC did this morning, and generate a Deeplink to invite their Web2 listeners to ape into the Web3 world.

“If they’re looking at it they can just click into the Deeplink and they can just join us,” he said. “ All of your communities are going to be able to too right after this Bubble.”

This announcement sparked a flood of copy pasta posts on X, as Apes let the timeline know where to find them.

“I’m Bubbles only from now on,” Cam tweeted. “No need to invite me to spaces. Said what I said.”

After the BAYC’s main Meet At The Clubhouse Bubble, Apes, $Apes, and more stuck around the swamp and palled around with their fellow primates, making the most of Yuga Labs’ new Bubbles tech.

“Ok so the larger Bubbles Space ended, but after it was over I feel like I really got a feel for how cool this is,” BAYC member DadWheels tweeted. “I started my own bubble and someone joined, and we just had a really nice conversation. This is something that never felt personal in the past with other apes online. Now it feels like real life, but on the internet.”

One of the biggest Bubbles Spaces after today’s main event was hosted by BAYC member and artist Tropical Virtual, who spent hours with 20+ frens talking Unreal Engine, the Otherside Development Kit (ODK), and more.

"Wow, just ended my bubble that lasted for like 2 hours or so. Time just flew by, was a so much fun,” he tweeted. “Thanks to all the legends who joined in for a constructive convo on Unreal Engine, ODK development, 3d art, and speculated on things to expect in the future within @OthersideMeta and  @BoredApeYC . I love hanging out and chatting with other artists, devs, and passionate people in this space, who all have a common goal and vision. No more spaces. Only Bubbles.”

Later in the day, Yuga Labs Head Engineer James Hall took to the timeline to thank the community for coming out and to get back to work.

“Great day in Otherside. Jobs not done,” he tweetd. “Avatar issues and name woes are in my sights. We iterate. Thanks for the support.”

As Hall keeps building, everyone around the swamp and beyond is invited to ape into Otherside tonight and pop into an existing Bubble or blow up a new space of their own.
