Q&A: This AIP Wants To Create An Ar Launchpad For The $Ape Community. Find Out More About AIP-283:

The ApeCoin DAO is voting on an Ape Improvement Proposal this week that aims kickoff a launchpad that’ll blast the $Ape ecosystem into the world of augmented reality!

AIP-283, titled 'Ape.AR: The AR Launchpad, Powered by ApeCoin,' is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and CEO of AR/T HOUSE, 'the most advanced app-less AR tech on the market,' Justin Fredericks, also known as JustFred.

“Ape.AR empowers (i) creative entrepreneurs to commercialize their IP (i.e. motion graphic BAYC apparel) with AR, resulting in (ii) a new form of augmented utility for their collectors and (iii) a new use for ApeCoin, which will exclusively power all of the transactions,” JustFred wrote.

“This opportunity to integrate cutting edge AR tech, which would otherwise be cost prohibitive for independent entrepreneurs & artists, effectively drives culture forward into a physical-meets-digital, blended reality.”

If passed, JustFred will launch his Ape.Ar Launchpad and invite community builders to apply to the program. After that, JustFred and his team will select three artists/ builders per quarter over the next year and they will help these builders integrate augmented reality and $Ape into their businesses!

“The culmination of each launchpad will consist of the augmented collection drops on the Ape.AR website, using $APE as the exclusive payment method, along with marketing campaigns both within & outside Web3,” JustFred wrote.

In total JustFred is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $300,000 USD to AIP-283.

1.In a sentence or two can you sum up your AIP and what it’s all about?

“An augmented reality (AR) launchpad for the ApeCoin community.”

2.What inspired you to make this proposal?

“I’ve been running a venture-backed AR company, Art House, for the past 5 years. We empower brands like Paramount, Compass & Viceroy to launch app-less AR activations. I wanted to empower independent artist’s & entrepreneurs with the same tech. The ApeCoin DAO grant program enables this.“

3. Why are you the right person to make this AR Launchpad?

“I’ve been running Art House, which is the first-and-only interoperable app-less AR technology. I’ve also been an active member of the ApeCoin DAO community & a week 1 member of BAYC.”

4. Why are you bullish on AR tech? And why should AR excite the DAO?

“I view AR tech as the key to unlock the true promise of the metaverse, where boundaries between physical & digital disappear. A blended world. This aligns with the vision of the DAO to bring creative cultures towards the metaverse.”

5. what businesses or ideas do you see this launchpad working with if passed?

“Each quarter, we’ll accept a new group of participants, from indie artists to startup entrepreneurs. Some of the use cases include: interactive art prints, motion graphic apparel, living product labels, augmented events…”

6. If passed, what do you envision will happen over the next year?

This should result in the following: (i) increased use of IP by creatives. (ii) increased brand awareness of ApeCoin, beyond the early adopter community. (iii) increase in the demand side of $APE, through real world use cases.”

7. what does success and failure look like for this proposal?

“Success will be a new physical-meets-digital economy, powered by $APE. If the AIP passes, failure is not an option.”

8. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

“This proposal benefits the ApeCoin community at every level: the team members will be hired exclusively from within the DAO; the launchpad participants will come exclusively from the DAO; the culminating products will be transacted exclusively in $APE.”

The window to vote on AIP-283 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, August 23rd, to cast their coins.
