SECOND TRIP EVE: Here's What You Need To Know About Tomorrow's Trip To The Otherside!

On Second Trip eve, Yuga Labs shared a new teaser trailer that highlighted some of the changes that have taken place on the Otherside since Voyagers first trip last year.

As the Yugaverse gets ready to break on through to the Otherside this Saturday, Yuga Labs shared a new teaser trailer on Friday that highlighted all four key updates between the first and second trip.

“Buckle up Voyagers, Curtis here to let you know we’re going back to Otherside for 2nd Trip,” Yuga Labs said in its new trailer.”Remember 1st Trip? That shit was wild, man! Thousands of you joined me and Blue on Otherside and together we made gaming history. Oh yeah and we took down that massive Koda as a team. But a lot’s changed in Otherside since then. So get ready Voyagers because 2nd Trip is happening on March 25th.”

The first notable change that Yuga Labs highlighted in its trailer was the company’s “claim a guest pass” feature.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the window for Voyagers to get a guest pass for their friends and family opened this morning; and users can claim their guest passes at any time leading up to the event.

“2nd Trip Voyagers are now able to claim their Guest Passes by following the link below, the company tweeted this morning. “Once a Guest Pass is claimed, it will not work for an additional guest. Each Voyager will have the ability to generate ONE Guest Pass per wallet Claim your pass here https://2ndtrip.otherside.xyz.”

The second feature that Yuga Labs highlighted in its video today was gamification of the second trip and the inclusion of four “team captains.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs announced that @jfwong, @brycent_, @Lowbellie, or @champmedici will each serve as team captains during the second trip and that they will each lead their team of Voyagers on a quest.

“A journey to Otherside wouldn’t be complete without an objective, and without giving too much away, we’re announcing that Voyagers will be competing against each other in teams during 2nd Trip," Yuga Labs wrote in a blog post earlier this week. “We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes selecting leaders for these teams, and today we’d like to introduce you to your Team Captains. We’re super excited to partner with each of them to bring you this experience. When you enter 2nd Trip, you’ll be randomly assigned to one of four teams: Luster (yellow), Crimson (red), Veldan (green), or Glacial (blue). Each team will have a captain to provide guidance and advice on your objective. What is that objective, you ask? Obviously, we can’t give it all away yet, but just know that each of the Team Captains possess the skills to help you crush it.”

The third update that Yuga Labs’ highlighted in its second trip eve trailer was the Otherside’s new models and mechanics.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Voyagers will be able to customize their Voyager robots during the Second Trip and even include their NFTs on their avatars!

“Voyager avatars have been upgraded for 2nd Trip, Yuga Labs wrote in a press release earlier this week. “Participants can press backspace to cycle through each of the new Voyagers avatars, press i to customize the strata (color pattern), and will also have an opportunity to add an NFT PFP for their Voyager’s face. Voyagers can expect to see their Apes, Meebs, Cryptopunks, and Otherdeeds as assets available to display as their PFP within their Voyager. This will be done through the menu once Voyagers are in the Infinity Space. Support has also been added for collections outside the Yuga ecosystem including: Azuki, Chimpers, Cool Cats, CrypToadz, Deadfellaz, Forgotten Runes Wizards Cult, Forgotten Souls, Moonbirds, Nouns, Pudgy Penguins, Renga, Wolf Game, World of Women, and World of Women Galaxy. Here’s a sneak peak of what PFP Garga will be rocking during 2nd Trip, his beloved Cheetah.”

The fourth and final feature that Yuga Labs highlighted about this weekend’s trip to the Otherside was its event livestream.

While Yuga Labs is going to allow thousands of users to ape into the Otherside, the company will also be hosting a livestream of the event in case they hit max capacity.

To increase your odds of getting into the Otherside, Yuga Labs encourages Voyagers to enter the 2nd trip Queue when it opens at 11:30 A.M. EST tomorrow morning.

“The Voyager queue for 2nd Trip will open at 11:30 AM ET / 3:30 PM UTC on March 25, 2023, via the 2nd Trip link that will be tweeted out from our official Twitter account (@OthersideMeta). A Voyager’s place in the queue is based on when they click LAUNCH on the site. Voyagers are prioritized over guests for entry to 2nd Trip, and will be transported in batches from the queue to the Infinity Space until regional server capacity is reached. Once 2nd Trip begins, any Voyagers who were unable to join will be redirected to the livestream. No additional Voyagers will be able to get into 2nd Trip once the event has begun, so don’t be late.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Second Trip and will bring you live coverage from the Otherside tomorrow afternoon when the metaverse opens at 12 P.M. EST. Stay tuned for updates!
