Secretary Of $Ape: Vulkan's Term As $Ape Secretary Started Today. Here's What He Hopes To Accomplish

It was an insane Mutant Monday around the swamp as Working Group Zero Steward Red Vulkan started his term as the ApeCoin DAO’s first Secretary of $Ape.

“Normally I start the week off with a simple Mutant Monday post, but today is a bit more special. It’s the first day of my term as the @ApeCoin DAO Secretary,” Vulkan tweeted. “While you’ll still see me performing my normal Discourse Facilitator duties until my replacement is onboarded and trained later this month, my main focus will be on the responsibilities of my secretary mandate in recently passed AIP-239.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the ApeCoin DAO approved of Ape Improvement Proposal 239 last Wednesday.

As a result of this vote, the DAO will create a new Working Group Governance structure that aims to put community members in charge of the day-to-day operations of the ApeCoin DAO.

In the coming weeks, $Ape holders can expect to see DAO-wide calendars, DAO-wide organization charts, Transparency Reports, and Progress Reports coming for the new Secretary of $Ape’s office.

“I hope the different reports listed above plus the various metrics I track on my Dune Dashboard will bring transparency, clarity, and answers to questions the community has,” Vulkan tweeted. “I look forward to doing whatever I can to help our DAO succeed.”

Following his tweet this morning, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Vulkan to find out how his first day as Secretary went.

"My first day on the job was great," he said. "Amplify, Lost and I met this morning to kick things off and each of us have a good plan of what we want to focus on and accomplish over the coming weeks and months."
