SPOTLIGHT: BAYC Member Cananapo Buys His Primate’s Matching M1 Mutant After a Three Year Search!

Full sets are the holy grail around the swamp, and this longtime member just got one step closer after searching for his primate’s insane counterpart for three years.

Back in the summer of 2022, Cananapo purchased Bored Ape #3215, a five trait, golden brown fur primate with a sleeveless logo tee and an eyepatch, and it’s been his digital identity ever since.

 

From National Bacon Day to New Year’s and more, Cananapo never misses an opportunity to share a photo of his favorite primate on the timeline.

But he knew something was missing, his Ape’s matching M1 Mutant.

“I have been searching for the M1 of my ape for a few years and I've asked many folks for help tracking him down,” he told the paper. “For the past 2 Apefest IRL events I have taken the opportunity to ask around for anyone who could find the owner of the wallet that contained my M1 - it was in a wallet with about 50 other MAYC and other Yuga assets so I thought it would be easy to track them down.”

 

But unfortunately, it wasn’t easy. And while Cananapo never got in contact with the owner about picking up the primate, fate smiled on him last week when he checked OpenSea, like he has many times before, and saw his matching M1 sitting there!

“I was gobsmacked to see my M1 advertised today,” he said. “I generally browse the market a couple of times per week but when I saw 16430 my heart jumped. Looks liked he sold it 4 days ago and it has changed hands a few times since then. I am super lucky to find him and also to get him at a fair price.”

 

 

Now, with his M1 reunited with his Bored Ape, Cananapo told the paper that he’s planning to get an M2 Mutant Serum soon and have his Ape chug it to complete his favorite primate’s troop.

“Now I will search for an M2 serum and see if I can complete a whole set,” he said.
