Forget “let’s all go to the lobby” it’s time to ape into the swamp!
For the last seven months, Web3 has been living in the Otherside, completing daily tasks, attending weekly Other Games events, popping into Bubbles, and more.
In that time, we’ve seen tons of different characters and avatars enter the metaverse, and several collections launch wearables for their projects. But one thing we haven’t really seen yet is random items or objects.
Until now!
This week, Bored Ape Yacht Club member and builder MD Codes launched his new Otherside Oddities collection, which transforms Otherside Voyagers into objects!
“The Otherside can feel empty without the things that make it home,” he tweeted. “I created Otherside Oddities because every cozy corner needs its snacks, and every moment needs its props. If the Metaverse won't give us objects yet, we'll become them.”
MD Codes’ first trio of object turned avatars, dubbed the Movie Time Collection, consists of a soda, a slushie, and popcorn. The set will be available tonight on OpenPage for 13 $Ape. He also has a Valentine’s Day collection, and he plans to reimagine more objects as playable avatars soon.
“I will likely focus on a Celebrations set next, featuring items like champagne and birthday cakes,” he teased.
