$Apes, did you hear that? Pixelated chirps and caws pierced the timeline yesterday as notable ApeChain and Otherside builder, Pilot, gave everyone their first look at his NightGlyders project, gifting honorary Sugar Gliders to many longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club members!

Myth became legend on Monday as Pilot’s NightGlyders emerged from the Old Forest and onto X, just as the project’s mint date quickly approaches.

“NightGlyders is a sanctuary for explorers, visionaries, and collectors drawn to the expanding universe of ApeChain,” Pilot told the paper. “Rooted in the magic of the Notca Fruit’s rupture, each Glyder carries unique traits, forming a vibrant collection of 3,333 mystical beings. Together, we push forward the culture, technology, and community of web3 on ApeChain.”

Apes like Dim, Dragonseller, JBond, Ngbshpend, Xeer, and Adam Weitsman all shared photos of their NightGlyders yesterday, giving the community an early look at what’s to come.

This isn’t some spur of the moment drop. Pilot explained that NightGlyders has been in the works for over seven months.

“I’ve been working on this project for the last seven months,” Pilot recently said on an episode of the Grateful show. “ it’s a project that’s really clear and really dear to me, it’s a pixel project, very well crafted art. Never seen this quality on Apechain…The IP is a Sugar Glider, so basically this cute little animal with wings.”

The NightGlyders mint is scheduled for June 19th and will cost 36 $Ape each, according to Blever.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Pilot and the NightGlyders, and we’ll let you know what these winged creatures do next. Stay tuned for updates!
