The Bored Ape Yacht Club's Made By Apes 2.0 Will Feature A New Numbering System! Here's What You Need To Know:

The Bored Ape Yacht Club announced that it will be adding additional digits to current and future Made By Apes licensees to make it easier than ever to know which Ape made which product as part of its next edition of the Made By Apes program!

Following Yuga Labs’ announcement that the BAYC’s Made by Apes program will be getting a 2.0 version complete with a new look, new features, and a move to ApeChain last night, the Made By Apes team joined the BAYC Community Council on Spaces today and announced a new numbering system.

“There is not going to be any impact on your existing license terms or your current business operations” Yuga Labs’ Bad Teeth said. “If you are using your MBA license on products or services right now, none of that has to change. We’re implementing a new numbering system that’s going to add some more detail, essentially a serial number for your MBA. So all existing MBA numbers will remain as is, we are just going to add six digits to it. One will be a specifier if it’s a BAYC or MAYC and then the next five digitals will be your Ape number.”

 

While Yuga Labs will be adding additional numbers to the end of builders' MBA licenses when Made By Apes 2.0 rolls out, the company reiterated that current Made By Apes company license numbers will not be changed and everyone can continue to operate with their numbers as normal.

“All old numbers are still in effect” Bad Teeth said. “If you have an existing license you’ll be able to use it as is.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs announced its Made By Apes 2.0 program last night.

Rebuilt from the ground up – we’ve streamlined the UX, simplified the application process and licensing terms, and added tools for MBAs to update their profiles as desired.”
