The Bored Ape Yacht Club X Rolling Stone Cover Art NFTs Each Sold For Over $100K

The auctions for the one-of-one Bored Ape and Mutant Ape Rolling Stone cover collabs ended earlier today with each NFT selling for over $100,000 USD.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club collaborated with Rolling Stone Magazine earlier this week to sell physical art prints to the community and auction off two rare 1/1 NFTs.

The first of the two Rolling Stones covers is the BAYC version. This NFT features a relaxed Curtis lounging in a hammock while smoking a cigar and playing his guitar. As Curtis chills out and enjoys life, his four-legged best friend rests underneath him.

The 1/1 BAYC X Rolling Stone NFT was purchased by Wallet 0xe578 AKA BAYC member Nate Bolam for 42,106.05 $APE or $189,477 USD

Following the purchase, Bolam took to Twitter and shared his 1/1 collectible.

The second of the two 1/1 BAYC Rolling Stones covers is the MAYC version. This NFT features a Mutant Curtis riding a motorcycle as toxic sludge circles around him.

This 1/1 NFT was purchased by BAYC member BrandonKangFilms for 22,696.969 $APE or $103,271 USD.

“Extremely grateful for the opportunity to add this banger art piece to the collection,” BrandonKangFilms tweeted after the purchase. “What a commemorative way to seal this year’s epic #ApeFest memories! But can we discuss the reasoning behind minting this 1/1 as an ERC-1155 on OS shared storefront?!”

After the auctions closed, the BAYC thanked everyone who participated in the auction and congratulated the winners.

This is the second Ape Fest in a row where the BAYC and Rolling Stone Magazine collabed on physical art prints and 1/1 BAYC and MAYC NFTs

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC and Rolling Stones collaborated last November and sold physical art prints and two 1/1 cover NFTs. The BAYC cover NFT sold to notable BAYC SaintBayview for 100 Eth and the MAYC cover NFT sold to Jmogul21 for 47 Eth.
