Yuga Labs Co-Founder Gordon Goner says that the Otherside game looks better than the trailer that the company posted yesterday, after Bored Ape Yacht Club member DaBunnyOFFICIAL asked if the metaverse is played on a Nintendo 64.
A day after Yuga Labs announced its upcoming 'day in the swamp' event happening next month, the company’s co-founder, Gordon Goner, assured the community that Otherside and the 3D-modeled Apes look better in the game than in yesterday’s teaser trailer!
“Not sure why OS team still hasn't said anything, but this pissed me off so I looked into it,” Goner tweeted. “In-game is 60fps and looks great. My understanding is the team just ran into an issue rendering the tease for X. They should've waited to get it rendered right imo. Won't happen again.”
Hours later, Goner returned to Twitter and said that his earlier tweet was not meant to criticize the Otherside team but to simply state that Yuga Labs’ highly anticipated metaverse is ‘sick.’
“Wasn’t meant as a criticism of the otherside team,” he tweeted. “Just wanted to clarify because the island is sick. Walking around with blue beams on BAYC Island is literally a dream come true. Major kudos to the team for getting us this far. Can't wait.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported Yuga Labs shared a new 20 second teaser trailer inviting Apes home to the swamp next month!
“Join us for a day in the swamp,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account yesterday. “February 2024.”
At this time, we do not know when in February Apes will be invited to check out the swamp or what they will do once on the Otherside.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Otherside’s day in the swamp’ event and will keep you posted on what Otherside and the 3D modeled Apes look like in game. Stay tuned for updates!
