Yuga Labs Has Refunded Users That Lost Gas Fees During The Otherdeed Mint

After thousands of users lost gas fees to failed transactions during last weekend’s Otherdeed mint, Yuga Labs has refunded every impacted user.

“We have refunded gas fees to everyone who made a transaction that failed due to network conditions caused by the mint. The fees have been sent back to the wallets used for the initial transaction. Here’s how to find your refund:”1. Go to http://etherscan.io 2. Input your wallet address in the search bar 3. Click on “Internal Txns”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, 55,000 Otherdeeds were minted over the weekend in a brutal gas war where members and non-members alike were spending upwards of two Eth to mint two plots of land, according to comments on Twitter.

Following the announcement, BAYC members praised the company for doing the right thing and making impacted users whole. “You guys are the epitome of class,” BAYC member CryptoZemer tweeted.

This is not the first time that Yuga Labs has worked to fix bad situations. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, some members had issues ordering merchandise through Coinbase during the March 28th merch drop.

Two weeks later, Yuga Labs and the BAYC surprised impacted members with an email informing them that their orders would be fulfilled free of charge!

“We really appreciate your patience as we work to get you your gear,” the BAYC wrote in an email to impacted members. “We’ve created a new order for $0.00 which will include the items from your original order. These items will be shipped to you free of charge; no further action needed from your end. We care about our community and wanted to make things right. We hope you love your new merch.”
