In a 'WORLD GONE MAD,' the Bored Ape Yacht Club poured fuel on the fire this morning, sparking new speculation about the brand's upcoming collaboration with A Bathing Ape while tapping into its exclusivity roots!

On Monday, the BAYC channeled some ‘early BAYC vibes’ that were reminiscent of the club’s first merch drop from May 29th, 2021 that featured only 520 items!

“Remember when Limited Edition meant Limited Edition,” the BAYC tweeted along with a never-before-seen BAPE X BAYC Tag. “BAPE X BAYC drops at ApeFest HK in 19 days.”

The BAPE tag in the BAYC's post states that there will only be 1,000 of this mystery item, and many BAYC members believe that this implies the club is creating exclusive BAPE X Bored Ape Shoes.

While nothing about this mystery item is confirmed, notable BAYC member MachiBigBrother claimed that these 1,000 mystery items will only be available via an auction denominated in $Ape.

“You’re only accepting @apecoin and it’s an auction,” MachiBigBrother replied.

While we do not know what these limited-edition items are or how BAYC members can get them yet, we do know that the BAYC’s BAPE collaboration line will be making its debut on the second day of ApeFest 2023 in Hong Kong and that BAYC members will have access to the collection in person and online.

“This first collaboration is all about the community, where BAYC members and BAPE® Heads receive exclusive early access to the apparel and accessories in the limited-edition collection," BAYC Co-Founder Garga wrote last month. "The collection makes its debut at ApeFest on November 4, where Apes can purchase onsite, or online with token-gated access. Then, it drops exclusively for BAPETAVERSE members online. Finally, in December the collection arrives at BAPE STORE® and BAPE.COM globally, where the public can access."
